Monster Closet

Blue jean dress DKNY, similar - Green cardigan 525 America, similar - Light blue bow shoes Gio Zanotti -
Grey bag Ferragamo

For some weird reason I feel like my closet has taken control over me and there is nothing I can do. It's like a monster that asks to be fed with new items, one that is always hungry.
I did a three month shopping ban that worked quite well in terms of acquisitions but not so with the organising the closet idea. At the end its a cycle that keeps on going: since the closet is not organised I keep bringing in new things, like these light blue shoes purchased last month, which by the way, have gotten so much wear, that the CPW is at about 2.57 USD.

I can totally relate. I did pretty well about controlling my spending the beginning of the year. But I have the itch now....

I had a personal stylist come in and do a wardrobe detox and I still feel my wardrobe is too hard to manage, so I know what you mean! I'm trying to downsize it as much as possible but I'm worried I'll regret it as I'm not able to buy anything back if I miss things. So hopefully I'll do better in the final month of my np=buy and get rid of more then.

Hope you are having a great week! I just published my first eBook so I'm having a pretty good week! :)

Love this colorful outfit, and the way you combined brights and pastels together! I totally empathize with the struggle to organize and control the closet(s). Sometimes I have just what I need, but things are stashed in several small closets in different rooms, so it's hard to visualize what I have. Oh, for a giant walk-in closet! I know a better idea is to streamline my wardrobe. It's a continuing project!

I understand you 100%. I tried to do the 3 month shopping ban as you and it didn't happen. There was always something I "needed". What I've been able to do is be more selective with my purchases. Btw, I love the outfit! That cardigan mix with the dress is an unexpected combination that worked pretty well.

Yes, I completely feel the same way! Sometimes I think maybe I should just get rid of everything and start fresh... but I know while I like that idea in theory I would struggle with the reality.
